Tiffany Denny, PT, DPT, C-IAYT
Dr. Tiffany Denny is a physical therapist, yoga teacher, certified yoga therapist, and movement educator who has spent over two decades helping people move better and feel better.
She became interested in fitness and yoga in high school after experiencing thyroid cancer and at the invitation of her mom who taught group fitness and yoga for years. In undergraduate school at the University of South Carolina, her yoga practice and some yoga teachers who were also physical therapists made her want to understand bodies and movement more deeply. That curiosity led to undergraduate work in exercise science, and to physical therapy school, where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2011 from Texas Woman’s University.
Tiffany specializes in orthopedic physical therapy and chronic pain conditions, with additional training in pelvic health, neurological physical therapy, and vestibular therapy. She also comes to this work with personal experience of repeated knee surgeries and a history of chronic pain — experiences that fundamentally inform how she thinks about bodies, healing, and what "getting better" actually means. It's not always linear, it's rarely what you pictured, and it often requires rethinking some deeply held beliefs about pain, identity, and progress.
Tiffany’s approach, whether in the clinic or in a yoga class, starts with what you can do right now and builds outward from there. Her treatment style is collaborative, as she believes treatments, exercises, and practices should fit individuals – their life circumstances, interests, and goals – in order to be truly effective.
Outside the clinic and her regular yoga and strength and conditioning practices, Tiffany can be found adventuring outdoors, playing volleyball, knitting, traveling, reading, and on the hunt for delicious food.

“In our work together, Tiffany taught me how to rewire my pain response through progressive loading, how to find my true comfort zone and thoughtfully load it, how to stimulate higher tissue adaptation, and to consciously know when to push and when to back off for real because of how my tissues were responding and not my fear of pain. This became a practice I use throughout my day, not just when in our PT sessions, but also on my mat, or at the gym.
Equally as important as recovering my mobility and practices, Tiffany gave me the gift of an improved relationship with my body and mind through exploration, showing me what it means to stay curious and inquisitive, and giving me the knowledge to gauge when to calm things down and when to build them back up. After working with Tiffany, I have trust in my body again.”
